Will You Be Baptized?

Hey everybody! I love you all. I hope you all had a fabulous week! The work is hastening here in San Jose and Elder Brockbank and I are privileged and overjoyed to be a part of it!     This week we went on exchanges with the Zone Leaders in Saratoga. It was a blast and we saw many miracles. I was with Elder Oliver! He's a stud. He's from Mexico City! It was a fun day because I've always wanted to have a native companion. We saw so many miracles! One experience in particular was with a 15 year boy, Alexis. We knocked on his door asking for Bryssa, she's a convert of about three years. Alexis answered and here's how the conversation went:     "Hey, how's it going! Is Bryssa here?" "No she's not here right now" "Oh ok no worries, what's your name?" "Alexis" "Sweet nice to meet you man. Well, we're missionaries and we share a really special message that we think you will really like" "Yeah I remember...

My wonderful family and friends! I love you all so much. I hope you are all doing fabulous.      Elder Brockbank and I had a wonderful week! We continue to see miracles! We are being blessed significantly. We both love this work and we love having fun while doing it!     We are teaching some wonderful people. Two significant people that we are teaching in Almaden are Jimmy and Larry. I'm not sure if you guys remember Justin, but he was the re-activated young man that received the priesthood a few months ago. Jimmy is his uncle! He's not a member. For the longest time, whenever we would invite him to join in on the lesson, he would kindly reject the invitation and say that church stuff just isn't for him. The Spirit has worked with him little by little and we are now teaching him. He lost his faith a long time ago when his father passed away and said he that he turned away from God has hasn't come back since. He now wants to regain his faith and come to know God....

Transfer Week

We had quite the crazy week!! I blinked once and then it was over.      Tuesday and Wednesday were transfers! That was super weird because we took the sisters that I came in with to the airport... Their time is up! I couldn't believe it. Time flies way too much on the mission. We had 15 missionaries leave on Wednesday and we only had 2 come in. So we are super low on missionaries at the moment. It's a bit of a struggle but the work goes on! We have had to consolidate a lot of areas. So for those of you that are thinking about serving a mission or just waiting around, GET OUT AND SERVE ONE. THE LORD NEEDS YOU NOW MORE THAN EVER.     While contacting the new elders on Wednesday downtown, a large African American man shouted to us from across the street. "God is good!". I responded, "Yes he is!" And of course we talked to him. He gave us each a big hug afterwards haha it was awesome. I'm glad the new elder that I was with got to experience that on his first...

Pure Joy

My friends and family!! I hope you are all doing well.     Conference was a huge treat. I loved every minute of it! I know in my heart that those men are called of God. They communicate with Him so that we may know His will.      A lot happened this week! But I’ll just skip to the good part...     The wedding and the baptism! My words will not give these two experiences any justice. "I cannot say the smallest part which I feel". It is weekends like these that make it all worth it. Just a little over three weeks ago, we began teaching Jose, Angelica, and Max. They listened intently and soaked up what the Spirit taught them.      During the wedding and the baptismal service, they all had the biggest smiles on their faces! I love what the gospel does to people. It was definitely a mission highlight for Elder Brockbank and myself. We will never forget this day!! We look forward to returning in a year's time to see them be sealed together for...
