El Trio!

Image
Hey everybody!!        My goodness I didn't know how fun trios were until I was actually in one! I am having so much fun with these two elders, maybe even too much fun. It's okay though, we're working hard and enjoying our time together. I really hope I stay here and finish my mission with them. Transfers are in a couple weeks and I've already been here 6 months so we'll see what happens.     The new elder that joined us this past week is Elder Cabral! He's amazing! Fresh from the Provo MTC. He was born in Brazil but moved to Utah when he was 2 years old, so he's basically American but he speaks fluent Portuguese, English, and now Spanish! It's really funny when we're talking to each other in the apartment or in the car because our words and sentences are all mixed up between the three languages.     We had a lot of success this week in finding! We found 8 new investigators including a family and had a lot of non members at church as well! Between...

More Exciting News! Trio.

Hey everybody! I hope you are all doing well.      Elder Fajardo and I received a call from President this morning informing us that we will be training a new missionary together! He arrives tomorrow! He's coming to the mission early from the MTC because his spanish is "suficiente". He was born in Brazil but has lived in the states for a while. He speaks fluent Portuguese! Therefore Spanish will come along easily for him! They are very similar. We are super stoked!! We're going to have a blast together. It'll be quite the experience training two missionaries but the Lord qualifies us for His work. Besides, Elder Fajardo came to the mission pre-trained. He's THAT awesome.     We have had a great week! We saw the Lord's hand many times during our work. We have a baptism lined up for August 6th! We're really excited for it. We are hoping to set some more dates soon.      Elder Fajardo and I are learning so much together. He's full of humility and is ...

Nowhere Else I'd Rather Be

Hey everyone!!     We had another successful week. We found a lot of really promising new investigators!! Elder Fajardo is getting in the hang of talking to everybody we see in the streets and he's doing a phenomenal job. Sometimes I feel like I'm not even training a new missionary because he's so on top of everything. I am so blessed to be with him! I am learning so much every single day.  We are so blessed with the members in our ward! This week multiple members came with us to help teach including the primary president, relief society president, a bishopric member, the gospel doctrine teacher, and bishop! They are absolutely incredible. We're so blessed to be in this ward.      Last Monday evening we found a beautiful family! The Gomez Family! We taught them the restoration and left them an invitation to read the Book of Mormon. When we came back Saturday night with our ward mission leader, we followed up and the mother said she had read! They asked more...

Hey everybody!     I LOVE my new companion! His name is Elder Fajardo! He's from El Salvador! He moved to Virginia about three years ago where he was baptized!!! He's only been a member for a little over two years. He's absolutely phenomenal. We're already having a blast together. Its awesome because he's still learning English and my Spanish can always use improvement so we help each other out a lot. We've had an awesome first week together! We're teaching a lot of awesome people. Valerie has come to church with her mom two weeks in a row now so she should be baptized in the coming weeks! I feel like I'm not even training Elder Fajardo because he's such a stud! He came out pre-trained. Everybody loves him! He's a fireball. I've already learned so much from him.     We were weekly planning on Saturday when President Mella called wanting to speak to Elder Fajardo. He was informed that one of the sister missionaries that found him on the stree...
