Homecoming Talk

Intro…Back from my mission, best experience for my life, of my life up until now (funny). Book of Mormon, among other things, had a significant role in my conversion, high school the Lord starts preparing His warriors, His soldiers. Topic: Book of Mormon. I feel like I’ve always had a testimony of this church, goodly parents etc, always wanted to serve a mission, going through the motions. Experience from high school, 10 pages a day Although my family was dear to be, I felt that the cause of truth, the gospel of Christ, outweighed everything else. D&C 64:33-34  - Intro to topic…  ● I love the Book of Mormon so much. It has saved my life and it has changed my life. Because of the Book of Mormon, I have a personal relationship with my Savior. PMG states that "those who know little or nothing about the Savior will come to know Him by reading, pondering, and praying about the Book of Mormon". Here It Goes!

I am filled with an array of feelings and thoughts. First of all, we had an amazing last week together. Our investigator, Lorenzo, is a changed man. He will be baptized very soon. We went to the visitors center and temple in Oakland with Marbella and Valorie (recent convert and her returning member mother). They had an experience of a lifetime. Marbella promised us that she would enter the temple and be sealed to her kids one day. We were filled with joy. There is nothing greater in knowing that you were a part of somebody's conversion or lasting salvation, even if we didn't do much. In reality, we don't do anything. The Lord does it all. We are just blessed and full of gratitude for being able to witness people gain a testimony and experience a change of heart.      Elder Cabral will be getting transferred and Elder Fajardo will train a new missionary! I'm so pumped for him. He'll be an amazing trainer. I love them both so much. We've grown very close together ...

Final Week Of Being A Full Time Missionary

Luz Lima was baptized! It was so beautiful! We are so excited for their family. Her daughter, Fernanda, was telling us that she's excited for her baptism in May. We are also excited for that, but we're even MORE excited to see them all sealed in the temple one day. That's what it's all about!     We set some high goals as a companionship and also as a zone this week and we saw so many miracles! We found a lot of new investigators that are all actually looking pretty solid already. We're excited for them. We want to be consistently teaching 25 or more lessons a week and finding 10 or more investigators a week. When we present our goals and the desires of our hearts to the Lord, He gives us the increase and performs miracles among us. It's an honor to be a part of this great work.     I was asked to give my last testimony yesterday during sacrament meeting, it was strange! It still hasn't hit me yet that I'm going home.
