My New Area!

Image
I am now serving in the Los Altos zone, in an area called Sunnyvale. It's HUGE!! It's so big. I'm definitely not in Hollister anymore haha. I'm serving in two different wards now. We cover our Spanish ward (Yes a SPANISH WARD!!) And we also cover the YSA ward in the zone next to ours. It's a lot of fun! We're always so busy. So the other Zone Leader isn't a companion, we're split. Which is great because I love my companion! Elder VanDrimmelen. He's a BEAST! He's such a stud, I love him so much. We're already brothers. He's been out a transfer less than me, so Spanish is a struggle for us haha. We are having a lot of fun learning together. We pray for the gift of tongues and the interpretation thereof before every lesson and God delivers every time. The Lord doesn't leave us in the dust. It's a wonderful thing to see the hand of God in our everyday missionary life. We have a couple progressing investigators here that we're hopi...

Big Changes

I am sad to announce that I am finally being transferred... My first time!! I'm super upset and It has been extremely difficult saying bye to everybody but all is well. I'm super psyched to meet new people and see more of the mission! I received a Zone Leader call also. I am about to be very humbled once again.      I don't have much time to say much but I love you all!! I've had an incredible week. We have 3 or 4 people that are RIGHTTTT THERE for baptism!! So hopefully I can return to Hollister when they get baptized.     I love you all!! Have a fantastic week.     Elder Felt     Pics: This man, Junior Garza, was less-active when I came to Hollister. We worked with him a ton to come back to church and now he has a calling! For the longest time he wouldn't let us in his house but we were persistent and The Lord softened his heart. He now has a date to go through the temple to be endowed. And while we were at their house for dinner, he asked ...

It's been a wonderful week!! Zone conference was amazing!! I walked away feeling so inspired and determined in our missionary work.      The temple was absolutely phenomenal. It was my first time inside the Oakland temple and wow I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of it all. The feelings that were felt inside there are almost impossible to describe. I love the certain familiar feelings of peace that we feel inside the celestial room of the temple. It was lovely to be reminded of our sacred temple covenants that we have made. It made me think even more about "Beginning with the end in mind" with our investigators, returning members and members who have yet to be endowed. I want nothing more for them to experience the beautiful temple and become endowed with power and more heavenly knowledge.     The district is doing great!! The 2nd ward Hollister sisters are on fire. Sister Jones has come in with a greenie fire I have never seen before! She is lighting e...

Feliz Día De Pascua!

I hope everybody had an incredible week!!     We had an amazing week here in Hollister. We enjoyed listening to conference more than we ever have before! We were so spiritually fed that I didn't have enough room to receive all the blessings and instructions. How blessed we are to have a living Prophet and living apostles. Jesus Christ is at the head of this church, and through His servants the Prophets and apostles receive revelation, and through them we receive further light and knowledge. May we all take their advice and instruction and become better men and women in the sight of God. One of my favorite talks was by Gerald Causee. He spoke about "A marvelous work and a wonder". The Book of Mormon and our church truly is a marvelous work and wonder. Everything about it falls into perfect simplicity and beauty.      Gus is still on the road to get baptized tomorrow. He has one final court date tomorrow that will finalize everything. Please keep him in your praye...
