Great Week!

Image
Hey everybody!     So I already told you about some of the week last week with the mission tour and all, so this email will be short!     We met with Lisa Sanchez and her family!! Finally!! Angelina is 10, Jane is 9, and Martin is 7. It was such an incredible lesson! The kids were super involved the entire time. They were answering all the questions and also asking great questions. We invited Angelina and Jane to be baptized and they said yes! But, they are super comfortable in the church that they have been going to since they were really little. They are hesitant to come to our church and check it out. But Lisa was like, "We need to try something new, this will be good for the kids". So we're super pumped to be teaching them. They couldn't make it to church yesterday because of some family matters but they will be there next week! We're praying that the kids will have an awesome experience in primary so that they will want to come back and then get baptized! We ...

California... Such A Lovely Place

My friends and family!!     Elder Cusworth and I are emailing today due to the mission tour that we have had this week. Elder Joseph Sitati of the seventy was here for stake conference and also to tour the mission. We received some exceptional counsel from him. I learned so much!! He is a very humble man that is so gifted in speaking from the spirit. He gave us very direct and bold instruction. What he taught us and what I learned from him through the Holy Ghost will change the course of my mission.      I am so grateful for the brethren of the church that lead, guide, and direct us in these Latter-Days. I know with a surety of my heart that they are called God.      We had an awesome week! We were very busy! I love being busy and working hard. Every single day, wherever we go, or whatever we are doing, I feel that my companion and I are anxiously engaged in the work of the savior; the greatest and most important work that we will ever be a part o...

Important Experiences

Image
I've had some really touching and important experiences happen this past week. I didn't want to share them over the group email. Yesterday we met with a family for dinner, they're awesome! We shared the message of the restoration afterwards and bore powerful testimony and then asked who they knew that could benefit from this message. It was quiet and they thought of a couple people. But after the lesson, the brother said "Thanks elders. We really appreciate it. I can feel the spirit when you guys teach. You are awesome missionaries". It really hit me because I know I only have so much time left where people will say things like that.     And then right after we went to another family's house for Elder Cusworth's birthday and they said the same thing! They thanked us for our service and hard work and told us how much they loved us and how impressed they were. The sister said, "I want my boy to grow up and become like you guys". I wanted to cry.   ...

Miracles - The Lord Is Doing It!!

Our week was nothing short of miracles!!!     This was probably one of the best weeks of my whole mission!! On Tuesday I got to go back to Hollister for a day!! It was so incredible to be where I began my mission. There are so many people there that I love and hold dear to my heart. I was doing an exchange with the Zone Leader down there, with my boy Elder Gardner! We were in the MTC together. We saw so many incredible things together. Through the Lord, we were able to find a family of four and teach them the restoration, and set two baptismal dates with two other investigators. We worked hard and got a lot of good things done.    Elder Cusworth and I probably had the best week we've had while we have been companions. The area is picking up rapidly! We received two referrals from members this week and they are both families!! They are super prepared for the gospel. One of them is a part member family, the mother is a member but she's inactive. She wants us to start t...

Another Insane Week!

It was quite an eventful week! Transfers are over!! Elder Cusworth and I will be staying together for a third transfer, I'm so excited! I feel like I am serving with my brother. We get along really well. We're going to see miracles this transfer.      Tuesday was transfers! It was a ginormous transfer meeting. We had 18 missionaries going home and about 60 missionaries getting transferred. We were all running around like mad men trying to make sure everybody had everything that they needed. It was a crazy drive up to the temple because we were running late, but once we were inside, pure peace. I was overcome with comfort and warmth. I love the temple more than words can convey.      The next morning, we dropped off the missionaries at the airport and welcomed the new ones a couple hours later! They are such a solid group! Probably the best one I've seen thus far. They are all super excited to be here. We took them straight to downtown San Jose and contacted...
