Hey friends and family! I hope all is well.      To explain the title of the email, Australia made it to the Rugby World Cup Final!!! They will be playing the New Zealand All Blacks... Dad, please record it! I'll watch it when I get home :) We had a really awesome week! Our investigator, Fatima, came to church and she brought a friend! They are both from Iran. They're super sweet. The past couple of weeks, we have been building a storage unit for Fatima. It took a lot of our time, but we kept telling ourselves that if we kept helping her that she would get baptized haha. So hopefully we can continue visiting her and teaching her. She's read the entire Book of Mormon in Persian before!      Thursday we had the opportunity to drive down to Monterey and join some elders for breakfast and studies. We studied out of Ch. 9 of Preach My Gospel and we found stories and examples in the Book of Mormon of how missionaries utilized and understood the power and authorit...

Most Insane Week Of My Life

Image
Friends and family! I hope you are all doing well and that you had a superb week.     Things have been pretty nuts lately. President has asked me to be his new assistant and the ward and area that we cover is English so I'm sad to announce that I will no longer be in the Spanish program!! I'm heart broken! But all is well.     This week was honestly a huge blur! We were super busy and the whole time I had no idea what was going on haha I was just trying to keep up. But luckily my companion, Elder Cusworth, is a legend!! We served together in our first area so we were already pretty good friends. I'm super excited to be with him. We have a lot in common. His dad served his mission in Melbourne!! So that was a pretty sweet connection. Tuesday was transfer meeting! Afterwards we took the outgoing missionaries to the temple and had dinner at the mission home. The next morning we dropped them off at the airport and about an hour later the new missionaries arrived!! They'r...

Transfers!

Well, I'm out of here! I'm getting transferred! I will find out where I'm getting transferred to tomorrow. I'm super sad to leave, this area is golden. El Camino is Zion! Every missionary who has served here knows that it's the best Spanish area in the mission :) I'm going to miss it so much. I love the people here beyond comprehension. It was so hard to say bye to a lot of them yesterday after church. And afterwards we went to the YSA ward and had some more goodbyes. Transfers are so bitter sweet! But I'm excited for new adventures and new people to meet. I know that God is behind it all. He is the mastermind.     This area is seriously on fire!! Which is the main reason why I don't want to leave. Francisco's date is still set for October 31st so hopefully I will be able to return for it. Blanca, Ric, Richie, Victoria, and Maria should all be getting baptized soon also. I would totally talk about them all but I don't have a whole lot of time to...

Beautiful Week!

This week was absolutely marvelous! I had so much fun being immersed in the work of the Lord. General conference was spectacular. I enjoyed the spiritual feast! The Holy Ghost confirmed to me time and time again that the men speaking and giving us counsel were hand picked by the Lord himself.      We had a miraculous week! Not a whole lot of time so here are some quick highlights: Wednesday we street contacted a man working on his car, he was interested so we set a return appt. We went by Saturday, taught him the restoration, invited him to be baptized, and set a date for October 31st! It was amazing. The man is prepared.      We received a referral from a member yesterday. We called the guy and set an apt for 7. His name is Richie and he's 20. MOST PREPARED GUY I KNOW. He's been studying the church for a while now. He wants to know EVERYTHING. He's already half way through the Book of Mormon and he's planning on catching up on the sessions of conference. T...
