Family And Friends!

I don't have a whole lot of time so this email will be short!  We are teaching a lot of people right now which is awesome! We're always busy. We have about 3 people that could get baptized any day now but there are huge roadblocks. Juana is ready but her husband won't let her come to church, Gus is ready but he needs to serve his time in jail for 2 months first, Jose Munoz is ready but he needs to get married haha. If he gets married, it'll be my third wedding in the mission already! How funny is that?  Everything else is going really well! Our district is incredible! Out of the 4 championships in our district, 3 of them have baptismal dates! Hollister is on fire! I love serving with all the missionaries here so much, we're all super close.  I am loving every single day of my mission more than words can describe. I love reading all of my brothers emails who are also serving right now all over the world! It brings joy to my soul and tears to my eyes knowing that we a...

Happy Valentines!

Image
This week was incredible!! I learned so much.  It was a pretty normal week of teaching and finding people, not a ton happened, but we found out a lot of stuff and found people we haven't heard from in months!! So we have a lot of work to do this week. We received some pretty solid referrals from some members so our teaching pool is about to get pretty big, we're going to be super busy this week, which I'm SUPER STOKED FOR. On Saturday, we had a really early dinner and were done by 5. Which meant we had about 4 hours to proselyte until curfew. We had no idea what we were going to do because we had no set appointments AND it was valentines day, so no one was home. But, we tried visiting people anyway. We ended up stopping at about 15 houses and NO ONE ANSWERED. Earlier on in the day, we went to stop by Jaukeen, our ten year old investigator whom we hadn't seen in about 3 months. We lost contact with him a while ago and every now and then we pass by so see if he's ther...

Mi Familia!

Como esta todo mi hermanos y mi hermanas! Espero que todo es bien. It has been a tough week! We got dropped by a family of 3 investigators. They are the hardcore Catholics. They dropped us like a sack of potatoes. It hurt really bad haha. They said they don't want to hear anything anymore about The Book of Mormon or Joseph Smith. They only want to hear about God, Jesus Christ, and the virgin Mary. So that was a really hard day. It was my first time being dropped. Our teaching pool kinda decreased dramatically because Jose Munoz, our miracles investigator, went to Mexico again for I don't know how long. Sooo we have a lot of work to do this week! We're going to contact a bunch and look through our formers to pick up new investigators and find, teach, and baptize more souls.  Gus is still doing well. Still wanting to get baptized and all, he just has a lot of court issues he has to deal with. He has the choice of either going to jail for 2 months, or being on house arrest f...

Transfer Week!!

Image
I finished my training last week! I am officially not a "greenie" anymore. But I feel as though I will always be one. So transfers are this week, and I am staying in HOLLISTER! I'm so happy. I love Hollister and there is so much work to do, I'm not ready to leave! I got a call from the assistants on Thursday night, and I have been called to be the district leader down here in Hollister. I was super surprised because I just finished my training. I'm freaking out a little bit. But, I have the Lord on my side! It's been a crazy week. We have an elder from the English program staying and working with us because his companion went home for knee surgery, so we've been in a trio together covering both areas! It's been so much fun!! We have had a lot of fun and success together.  Javier's prayers were answered!! He found a new job and a new cheap place to stay. We are so happy for him. We had 3 investigators at church which is AMAZING!! They're all sol...
