Hey everyone! I hope you had a fantastic week.     We had a wonderful week full of finding, teaching, planning, and going to see the temple in Oakland with Luz and Henry! Being at the temple was definitely the highlight of the week. We went through the visitors center tour with them and oh my goodness it was so amazing!! The spirit penetrated us all as we listened and discussed God's plan for families. The topics of discussion were perfect for Luz and Henry. We talked about and watched films concerning eternal families, baptism and confirmation, and the restoration. Luz was crying while the sister missionaries talked about the ordinances that take place in the temple. It was a marvelous experience for all of us. We had a wonderful time watching them learn and feel the spirit together. We have no doubt in our minds that a year after her baptism, they will be sealed together with their three beautiful children. That's what it's all about. That's why I am here. That is why...

We had a great first week to start off the transfer!      Elder Fajardo and Elder Cabral are learning rapidly and I am learning so much from them! They keep me on my toes. Our teaching skills as a companionship are increasing daily. We are having incredible experiences in some of the lessons we are teaching. One of them was with a young man, Jose Flores. Finding him was nothing short of a miracle. He has had a pretty serious drug addiction for the past 5 years, and the day he decides to stop, we meet him. We're excited to continue to meet with him.     We have a baptismal date for September 7th! Luz Lima! She's the one that is married to the less-active (returning member). We have had enormous amounts of progress with her and she is so ready!! We took a member that was just perfect for her to one of our lessons and it was incredible. We taught some of the different commandments and ended by trying to set a date for her (for the 3rd time). We told her that we had...

Hey everyone! I hope you are doing well.     Well, transfer calls were on Saturday and my companions and I were freaking out because we thought for sure that we would get split up because I've already been here six months and the mission is low on Spanish elders and since we are in a trio we thought one of us would leave. BUT, we are happy to say that we are all staying together!! I will finish my mission here in Yerba Buena and finish the elders training. I am so grateful and full of joy. I couldn't have thought of a better way to finish. Elder Fajardo and Elder Cabral are so incredible, there is so much I can learn from them.     We were blessed to see four beautiful souls be baptized on Saturday. It was such a powerful service. The expressions on their faces as they came out of the water were priceless. I live for those moments. I'm beyond grateful that the Lord has trusted us enough to labor in His vineyard and bring souls unto Him. This work is so precious. "And...

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well.     We had an awesome week!! We taught so many awesome lessons. A couple of them were extra special. Two of the new investigators we found this week were miracles. God led us straight to them. They are both in their early 20's and are looking for God. They don't have any relevance to each other or anything, they just happen to be the same age. At the end of the first lesson with both of them (two different lessons), we asked them to offer a kneeling prayer. They both said something along the lines of these words, "Thank you God for not giving up on me. Thank you for sending me these guys to help me know what I need to do". One of them, Luis, said he felt "relieved" after hearing the plan of salvation because he didn't know much about God or any kind of plan.
