Happy New Year

Image
I hope everyone had a blissful Christmas that was full of love and service. And HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! May we all enter this new year with a steadfastness in Christ, striving to be better than last year. Hit the ground running with new goals! Always striving to do more. We will all come to realizations throughout our lives and think to ourselves, "I can do better". No matter how great everything is going, no matter how amazing life seems, we can ALWAYS do better. Our potential will never stop increasing with Jesus Christ walking beside us every step of the way. This Christmas season was the best one yet! I came to realize the true meaning of the season. We spent Christmas with a couple families. They were extremely loving and kind, and shared their homes with us with great hospitality. Other than that, Christmas was a normal day. Missionary work never stops! And I love it. People often asked, "So do you get some time off for Christmas?" They were shocked to hear our...

It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

Image
Hey everybody!     I hope everyone is submersed in the wonderful spirit of this season. What's the weather like? I'm lovin the weather over here on the west coast during the winter! We are still wearing T-shirts every day when we're doing work haha California is radical.      So this week has been pretty hectic. Early Wednesday morning, I dropped my beloved companion and trainer off at the mission office. He is home now and is trying to figure out what he has. Most likely he has MS. So everyone please include him in your prayers.     For the past 5 days, I have been with the two English elders here in Hollister. We have been co-covering our areas together, English and Spanish. It has been crazy!! We have been super busy. It has been really cool seeing what the English program is like and it was SUPER weird being in an actual ward yesterday. I'm so used to being in a small branch in the primary room where we have sacrament. Half the time my companion an...

FELIZ NAVIDAD!!

I love the Christmas season!! Everything is so beautiful and there is always a certain feeling that covers the entire earth. It's the presence of the Spirit reminding us of the importance of this time of year. The birth of the savior and redeemer of the world, Jesus Christ.     It has been quite a hectic week!! But also an awesome week. We picked up a few new investigators and had 3 come to church! Our branch is small and a lot of the members aren't really into helping the missionaries with the work, a lot of them are strong and faithful in the gospel, but they're lazy. So in ward council we set some goals and talked about unifying the branch and pumping everybody up!! We need their help in finding people. We are living in the Restoration! We cannot sleep. We must continue Joseph Smith's work in spreading the restored gospel and feeding the Lord's sheep. At the time of Joseph's life, the church was not very large. But he knew it had a destiny to fill the entire ...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Image
I hope everyone had an exceptional thanksgiving full of love and grace!      We visited 4 different member families on thanksgiving day and were fed tremendously.     I have never eaten so much in my life, it was hard to walk. But it was a glorious day!     This week has been awesome. We have 4 new investigators! So in total we have 8 investigators at the moment. Half of them are all progressing and doing well, the other half don't like to keep commitments and always bail on our appointments but all is well. I love them all so much.     Our miracles investigator, Javier, is phenomenal. He was an alcoholic for three years while living in Santa Cruz. One evening while he was very drunk, he was on the computer. An ad popped up about the church, he clicked on it and it led him to the church website. He saw a picture of the temple and became very intrigued. He started chatting to a member online. He made it very aware that he was very drunk. After...
