Great Week!

Hey everybody!

So I already told you about some of the week last week with the mission tour and all, so this email will be short!

We met with Lisa Sanchez and her family!! Finally!! Angelina is 10, Jane is 9, and Martin is 7. It was such an incredible lesson! The kids were super involved the entire time. They were answering all the questions and also asking great questions. We invited Angelina and Jane to be baptized and they said yes! But, they are super comfortable in the church that they have been going to since they were really little. They are hesitant to come to our church and check it out. But Lisa was like, "We need to try something new, this will be good for the kids". So we're super pumped to be teaching them. They couldn't make it to church yesterday because of some family matters but they will be there next week! We're praying that the kids will have an awesome experience in primary so that they will want to come back and then get baptized! We love their family. Elder Cusworth and I feel so blessed to be teaching them.

Justin Dalin will be getting the priesthood next week!!! We're so happy!!! He has come such a long way. We also had a couple other less-actives come to church that we've been working with, which was so wonderful to see. We're having success in the re-activation of members right now but we want more!! We want a baptism so bad.

In church yesterday, we sang the hymn "As Now We Take the Sacrament". We've sung it many times in our lives during sacrament but I was playing close attention to the words and a lot stuck out to me:

"Thou Son of God, who lived for us, then died on Calvary. We contemplate thy lasting grace, thy boundless charity; to us the gift of life was giv'n for all eternity"

"The way to thee is righteousness - The way thy life was spent... With hands now pledged to do thy work, we take the sacrament"

"... Silently we pray for courage to accept thy will, to listen and obey. We love thee, Lord; our hearts are full. We'll walk thy chosen way" - L. Tom Perry

I love this hymn. It so beautifully portrays the magnificent life and sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I love Him with all my heart. My desire is to always reflect His will. It is merely impossible to become like Him in this life, but we can do our very best to do so. He truly is the life and light of the world. He is the great Mediator, the Chosen One, the Prince of Peace, our Redeemer and our brother. He is the perfect example. He is the way; the one and only true way back to our Father in Heaven.

I love this work! I love all of you.

Have a splendid week.

Elder Michael Felt
