Happy Valentines!

This week was incredible!! I learned so much.

It was a pretty normal week of teaching and finding people, not a ton happened, but we found out a lot of stuff and found people we haven't heard from in months!! So we have a lot of work to do this week. We received some pretty solid referrals from some members so our teaching pool is about to get pretty big, we're going to be super busy this week, which I'm SUPER STOKED FOR.

On Saturday, we had a really early dinner and were done by 5. Which meant we had about 4 hours to proselyte until curfew. We had no idea what we were going to do because we had no set appointments AND it was valentines day, so no one was home. But, we tried visiting people anyway. We ended up stopping at about 15 houses and NO ONE ANSWERED. Earlier on in the day, we went to stop by Jaukeen, our ten year old investigator whom we hadn't seen in about 3 months. We lost contact with him a while ago and every now and then we pass by so see if he's there. On our way home that night, I was prompted to pass by his house again. At first we thought it wasn't a good idea to try and knock on his door again for a second time because we didn't want to bug his family or give them a bad impression of missionaries. But, we listened to the spirit and went anyway. HE WAS HOME. FINALLY. It was incredible to see him. We caught up and invited him to church again. Hopefully we start seeing him more often again. Right after, we were prompted once again to visit someone who we met on the street back in November when I was with elder Hunt. We hadn't seen him since because he was always working. But we stopped by anyway and he was there! We had an incredible conversation about the message we have to share. We told him of God's power and how we have modern day prophets and apostles who provide further light and knowledge for us. At the beginning of the conversation, he was saying that he didn't want to be part of a specific religion. By the end, he said "yeah I would love to settle down and find one religion that I can be a part of that will make me happy" The Spirit was working on him. So we picked up a new investigator this week!! His name is Alvaro.

I had the privilege of interviewing four people for baptism this week! They are the Elias family.

They were investigators of the sisters in our branch who got baptized yesterday.

It was a wonderful experience. I sat there with joy listening to their testimonies and how the gospel has changed them for the better. I would have to say that it is my most favorite thing about the mission; seeing the change in people. Seeing the light of Christ in their eyes. Seeing how happy they are. It brings me uttermost peace and joy.

Everything is amazing down here in Hollister. The district is doing great things. There is a lot of work going on and everyone is working hard. There will be a lot of miracles and success here in the coming weeks. I am anxious to see the work hasten and flourish.

Witnessing the baptism of the Elias family was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. They weren't even our family and I STILL felt the happiness and love it brings. Soooo many people were impacted by this baptism. Just from watching, something sparked inside of Elder Matthias and I. WE WANT MORE BAPTISMS. Especially families. This church is true and God's power is real.

I love being a missionary and I love doing missionary work.

I love you all and I hope you have a fantastic week.
