The Temple!

Hey everyone! I hope you had a fantastic week.

 

 

We had a wonderful week full of finding, teaching, planning, and going to see the temple in Oakland with Luz and Henry! Being at the temple was definitely the highlight of the week. We went through the visitors center tour with them and oh my goodness it was so amazing!! The spirit penetrated us all as we listened and discussed God's plan for families. The topics of discussion were perfect for Luz and Henry. We talked about and watched films concerning eternal families, baptism and confirmation, and the restoration. Luz was crying while the sister missionaries talked about the ordinances that take place in the temple. It was a marvelous experience for all of us. We had a wonderful time watching them learn and feel the spirit together. We have no doubt in our minds that a year after her baptism, they will be sealed together with their three beautiful children. That's what it's all about. That's why I am here. That is why we yearn to find and teach families, so that they also may enjoy the blessings of eternal peace and joy, together in the presence of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Luz will be more than prepared for her baptism on September 7th. 

 

 

Elders Fajardo, Cabral and myself are having so much fun in this work! We are having incredible experiences together. We found this woman that is so prepared! Following teaching her the restoration, she held the Book of Mormon with both hands and said, "I've been waiting for something like this! None of the other churches seem right for me". We're excited to continue teaching her and her family this week. 

 

 

Ahhhh I love this church and work so much! I'm trying to make every second count out here. I feel like time is slipping away and I don't like it haha.
