The Lord's Work
Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well.
We had an awesome week!! We taught so many awesome lessons. A couple of them were extra special. Two of the new investigators we found this week were miracles. God led us straight to them. They are both in their early 20's and are looking for God. They don't have any relevance to each other or anything, they just happen to be the same age. At the end of the first lesson with both of them (two different lessons), we asked them to offer a kneeling prayer. They both said something along the lines of these words, "Thank you God for not giving up on me. Thank you for sending me these guys to help me know what I need to do". One of them, Luis, said he felt "relieved" after hearing the plan of salvation because he didn't know much about God or any kind of plan. These are both awesome examples of how the Lord prepares His children, and how the spirit does EVERYTHING in the lessons. Elder Fajardo and Elder Cabral are pumped at the moment. They have been amazed at the lessons we have had. The Lord is merciful. We had a few other awesome lessons that went so well! We are working with three families right now!! It's awesome.
The Yerba Buena Ward has 4 baptisms this week! It will be beautiful. I'm really excited that these two elders can have a baptism their first transfer in the mission. It will set the standard for the rest of their missions! We have some other wonderful people that are so close that should be baptized soon after.
One of them is a beautiful family. The husband is less-active (returning) and his wife is a non member. They have two beautiful daughters, Fernanda (7) and Hazel (5) and a 10 month baby boy. We are teaching Luz, the wife. She loves the idea of an eternal family and has loved the lessons. They came to church last week and we taught them twice this past week. She's reading her assignments and everything, it's going great! To add to the joy, the husband has been sitting in on the lessons and he is even helping us teach. He knows the doctrine well and was helping his wife understand that she doesn't need to know everything in order to be baptized. We can foresee a bright future for them!
The zone is doing really well! 4 out of 5 companions are baptizing at the moment. They are all so incredible!! I'm so blessed to serve alongside such dedicated servants of the Lord.
I hope you all have a marvelous week!!
Shall we not go on in so great a cause?
