El Trio!

Hey everybody!!

My goodness I didn't know how fun trios were until I was actually in one! I am having so much fun with these two elders, maybe even too much fun. It's okay though, we're working hard and enjoying our time together. I really hope I stay here and finish my mission with them. Transfers are in a couple weeks and I've already been here 6 months so we'll see what happens.

The new elder that joined us this past week is Elder Cabral! He's amazing! Fresh from the Provo MTC. He was born in Brazil but moved to Utah when he was 2 years old, so he's basically American but he speaks fluent Portuguese, English, and now Spanish! It's really funny when we're talking to each other in the apartment or in the car because our words and sentences are all mixed up between the three languages.

We had a lot of success this week in finding! We found 8 new investigators including a family and had a lot of non members at church as well! Between us and the sisters, the gospel principles class was packed to the max! It was fantastic. We are teaching so many amazing people at the moment, including two amazing families!! I wish I could talk about every single one of them and talk about some of the lessons we have had! Valerie is still on date for the 6th of Agosto so we're stoked for that.

It's super different teaching with three missionaries but we make it work! It takes a lot of role plays and practice. My time with Elder Fajardo and Elder Cabral reminds me so much of the beginning of my mission, so many memories are coming back and it makes me smile. They are so humble and eager to learn.

Sometimes I am reminded by other people or missionaries of how much time remains for me in the mission field; to be a full-time representative of the savior. My heart races and I get really anxious and nervous when the thought crosses my mind but it only makes me want to work that much harder and maximize the time I have, for I will never have this experience again. Of course I will serve missions with my eternal companion in the future, but being a full time missionary is once in a lifetime experience. There is nothing else like it. I want to utilize the time I have effectively so that I can learn everything that I am supposed to out here. I thank my Father in Heaven every day for that.

I love you all! Have a wonderful week.
