Feliz Día De Pascua!
I hope everybody had an incredible week!!
We had an amazing week here in Hollister. We enjoyed listening to conference more than we ever have before! We were so spiritually fed that I didn't have enough room to receive all the blessings and instructions. How blessed we are to have a living Prophet and living apostles. Jesus Christ is at the head of this church, and through His servants the Prophets and apostles receive revelation, and through them we receive further light and knowledge. May we all take their advice and instruction and become better men and women in the sight of God. One of my favorite talks was by Gerald Causee. He spoke about "A marvelous work and a wonder". The Book of Mormon and our church truly is a marvelous work and wonder. Everything about it falls into perfect simplicity and beauty.
Gus is still on the road to get baptized tomorrow. He has one final court date tomorrow that will finalize everything. Please keep him in your prayers!! He has progressed so well, I love him more than words can describe. We have a couple other investigators that are progressing really well, hopefully we can set some more dates pretty soon!
This week is going to be super busy! On Tuesday we have zone conference and then on Thursday the missionaries get to go to the temple!!! I'M SO EXCITED!! I miss the temple so much and the feelings of peace I have when I am in the house of the Lord.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. More importantly, I hope that everyone remembers the true meaning. Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer of the world, did in fact die. He took upon himself every sin, trial, tribulation, guilt, temptation, hardship, everything. He did so, so that when the time would come, He would be for us to say "Little child, I am here. And I know exactly what you're going through". The most important part of this is that he rose on the third day. He lives!! He lives today. He is here. He is with us always.
Whenever we are going through perilous times, always remember that somebody has walked this way before. He is the great mediator, the Prince of Peace, the Holy Messiah, the son of God. He IS the way, the truth and light. I love him with all my heart. I am honored to be a representative of Him in these last days. I invite us all to search for him. To discover his mercy
and ever so powerful grace.
I love you all and hope everybody has a splendid week.
Elder Felt
Funny story real quick:
Yesterday the sisters called us and informed us that they had locked themselves out of their apartment, and they asked us to break in for them. All their windows were locked so we tried to pick the lock. Nothing was working so we tried to budge the window open and unlock it with a credit card while we pushed it in. After like 10 minutes, nothing was working so we pushed a little harder anddddd the window shattered... Elder Bringhurst and I just looked at each other thinking "DANG IT!!" Hahah all is well, we are fixing it today. It was a fun time!
