My New Area!
I am now serving in the Los Altos zone, in an area called Sunnyvale. It's HUGE!! It's so big. I'm definitely not in Hollister anymore haha. I'm serving in two different wards now. We cover our Spanish ward (Yes a SPANISH WARD!!) And we also cover the YSA ward in the zone next to ours. It's a lot of fun! We're always so busy. So the other Zone Leader isn't a companion, we're split. Which is great because I love my companion! Elder VanDrimmelen. He's a BEAST! He's such a stud, I love him so much. We're already brothers. He's been out a transfer less than me, so Spanish is a struggle for us haha. We are having a lot of fun learning together. We pray for the gift of tongues and the interpretation thereof before every lesson and God delivers every time. The Lord doesn't leave us in the dust. It's a wonderful thing to see the hand of God in our everyday missionary life. We have a couple progressing investigators here that we're hoping to set dates with soon. I'm still learning the area so hopefully I can talk about them a little more next week.
I had a wonderful privilege to return to Hollister yesterday to witness the baptism of a 12 year boy whom my trainer and I taught my first transfer. His name is Nico! He's a wonderful boy. His dad was baptized in September of last year. It took a little longer for Nico because there were some issues with his mom, but she came around! It was so great to see him be baptized!!
I love my new area. I am learning so much!! I am having a blast.
I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is on the earth again, restored through His Prophet Joseph Smith. The gospel is rolling forth across the earth with great force. Shall we not go on in such a great cause?
I love you all!!! Have a great week.
P.S.
We're playing rugby today with the zone so I'm super pumped! We have some elders from Samoa and Tonga so it should be pretty fun ;)
My boy Elder Van
Nico and his father, Roy!! I love them dearly.
