G'Day Mates

It's been a wonderful week!! Zone conference was amazing!! I walked away feeling so inspired and determined in our missionary work. 

 

 

The temple was absolutely phenomenal. It was my first time inside the Oakland temple and wow I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of it all. The feelings that were felt inside there are almost impossible to describe. I love the certain familiar feelings of peace that we feel inside the celestial room of the temple. It was lovely to be reminded of our sacred temple covenants that we have made. It made me think even more about "Beginning with the end in mind" with our investigators, returning members and members who have yet to be endowed. I want nothing more for them to experience the beautiful temple and become endowed with power and more heavenly knowledge.

 

 

The district is doing great!! The 2nd ward Hollister sisters are on fire. Sister Jones has come in with a greenie fire I have never seen before! She is lighting everybody up. Sister Pattison is doing an incredible job of taking over the area.

 

 

The San Benito B Hermanas are killin it as usual. They're always working hard and are always exactly obedient. Sister Gonzalez is a wonderful trainer for Sister Patterson. 

 

 

The 1st ward elders are supreme! They are work horses. They have a "GO GO GO" mindset. I love it. 

 

 

Elder Barbosa and I are doing great. We have witnessed many miracles together and always seem to find joy in the journey. I am learning incredible amounts from him. I never would have guessed that he's only been a member for 2 and a half years. 

 

 

So some bad news... Unfortunately Gus was not baptized. Because of his past issues with the law, he was supposed to have an interview with a member of the mission presidency. 30 minutes before the appointment, he texted and said he was too nervous and then never showed up... It was super disappointing! I've been waiting for this since November!!! UGHHH. Oh well, we will keep working with him. He's super lazy and is terrible at keeping commitments. I love him though.
