Such A Good Week!!

Hey everybody!! I hope all is well. I love and appreciate all of you more than you will ever know,

This week was crazy!! BYU was in town this week for the San Jose State game, so there was a ton going on. On Thursday night we went to the BYU football fireside with one of our less-active boys in our ward. It was so awesome! The players talked a lot about how they balance their spiritual and church life with football and how the BYU football program helps them to become better disciples of Christ. Afterwards I got a picture with Tanner Mangum, the QB! He's a STUD. He just got back from his mission in Chile so we spoke to each other in Spanish for a bit.

Friday we had MLC! It was intense! The theme was "Lighting the mission on fire" and what the CSJM will look like on fire. We pinpointed areas throughout the mission and in the work on where we could improve and then generated some awesome discussions on how we can get the mission to start lighting up. Everyone was on board! We look forward to seeing the fire spread throughout the mission. The fire has already begun as we have 17 baptismal dates for this weekend. Hopefully we can keep the momentum going strong.

On Saturday we had the privilege of going to the BYU tailgate at the San Jose Giants baseball stadium. Unfortunately we didn't get to go to the game because it started so late but the tailgate was super fun! We helped out with all the different games and booths that were going on. We got some pretty cool pics with the mascot, Cosmo. I CAN'T WAIT FOR BYU.

We didn't have a whole lot of time to do work in our own area this week but when we did we got a lot done! Two youth plan on bringing their friends to church next week so we're super stoked for that.

This week we have two solid appointments with the people that we think are closest to baptism. The Young Family and then Taylor. The Young Family was found by street contacting and they watched general conference with the Mella's but we haven't been able to see them since, they're super busy. But they're looking for a church and they have a lot of questions regarding conference! So we're extremely excited for their appt this week. Taylor is a friend from one of the youth and she wants to meet with us for an hour! She has tons of questions and wants to come to church.

I am continually awe struck by the hand of God in our daily work. He puts people into our path out of the blue almost every single day. I am beyond grateful to be trusted with His precious children. I will do anything to make sure that they return to Him.

OH!! Francisco Hernandez will be getting baptized this week! Elder Jones and I found him about a month and a half ago in my last area. He's the miracle that we found on the street while on our way to an appointment. He was working on his car when we stopped to talk to him. In our first lesson he accepted baptism! It will be wonderful to see him be baptized this weekend.

The church is true brothers and sisters! I know it. We must remember that God has chosen His elect servants to lead and guide us. Their words and His words. They will never lead us astray. I promise. God is in charge, He is at the helm. He always has been and always will be.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31

I love you all!!

Elder Michael J. Felt
