Here It Goes!

I am filled with an array of feelings and thoughts. First of all, we had an amazing last week together. Our investigator, Lorenzo, is a changed man. He will be baptized very soon. We went to the visitors center and temple in Oakland with Marbella and Valorie (recent convert and her returning member mother). They had an experience of a lifetime. Marbella promised us that she would enter the temple and be sealed to her kids one day. We were filled with joy. There is nothing greater in knowing that you were a part of somebody's conversion or lasting salvation, even if we didn't do much. In reality, we don't do anything. The Lord does it all. We are just blessed and full of gratitude for being able to witness people gain a testimony and experience a change of heart.

Elder Cabral will be getting transferred and Elder Fajardo will train a new missionary! I'm so pumped for him. He'll be an amazing trainer. I love them both so much. We've grown very close together over the past couple of months. Leaving them tomorrow will be heartbreaking.

Up until now, the mission has been the most incredible, joyful, and life-changing experience of my entire life. I have developed an intimate relationship with my savior Jesus Christ; a relationship in which I could not have obtained anywhere else or by doing anything else. He is my savior, my redeemer, my healer, my friend, my brother, my everything, and I am His servant. I know with a surety that He is the way, and that there is no other way. I know that when we lose our lives for His sake, we find them. For that cause, I will strive to serve Him in this life and in the eternities to come.

One of the reasons I served a mission is because this church and the gospel has given me everything. I owe my life to it, to Him. And serving my savior for two years to this capacity was the best way to show my gratitude and be an instrument in His hands. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, this is my gospel; and ye know the things that ye must do in my church; for the works which ye have seen me do that shall ye also do" (3 Nephi 27:21).

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the kingdom of God on the earth, I know it. Jesus Christ Himself is at the head. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. Truth has been restored.

Shall we not go on in so great a cause?

I love you all. Nos vemos prontito.
