TRANSFERS

I am SO excited for this next transfer!! I will be training a new missionary!!!!!! I am beyond stoked. I've wanted to train a missionary my whole my mission. I just love the fire that they have. I am so excited to meet him on Thursday. I'm going to make sure he starts off his mission off strong with a couple baptisms!

Elder Figueroa and I had a great last week together. We worked hard and saw great miracles. Valerie will be getting baptized in the month of July. It'll be a wonderful service! We found some incredible people that are so prepared. I love how this work works. The Lord places us in certain peoples paths at the perfect time, every time. We pray with faith about where to go the night before and sure enough, the Lord leads us to los escogidos. I'm sad to see Elder Figueroa leave! We're best friends! I've learned so much from him and we've had a miracle filled transfer together.

Knowing that I have two transfers lefts makes my stomach stir a little bit, but in a good way! It reminds me that I have to wake up every morning as if it's my last day in the field and give everything to the Lord. For that is truly how we find ourselves.

Funny story! We were walking kinda by down town to visit a family when we contacted this lady that happened to be on cocaine and was very drunk... When she saw us she yelled out, "ELDERS!!" so we thought she knew missionaries or something so we started talking to her. The guy she was with started getting impatient with us and swore at us asking why we were asking her questions. The lady then turned to him and yelled at him saying, "you do not talk to the elders like that!! They are messengers of God! Now bow down to the Lord and apologize right now!!". Then she began to cry relentlessly. It was super weird. They started arguing so we causally walked away. Then she followed us and said that she wanted to preach with us all day. We tried telling her that we can't do that but she said "just kidnap me! Put me in your trunk!". It was an awkward situation. I love San Jose haha.

My goodness I love this work so much! I love being able to preach the restored gospel; to assist in helping the same church that Christ himself established grow and move across the earth. We read in Ephesians chapter 4:

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

How can we, as God's children, receive all the blessings that God has in store for us without the same foundation that Christ himself established? The scriptures are clear, we need "apostles and prophets... For the perfecting of the saints (us) and for the work of the ministry... Till we all come in unity of the faith". It makes perfect sense. I rejoice in knowing that God still speaks to man, that we have a living prophet and living apostles that have been called by the Lord himself. I love even more so being able to share this with multiple people, multiple times a day!

I love you all! Have a good week!
