Feliz Día De Las Madres! Y Cinco De Mayo También!
We had a great week! We saw some awesome miracles. We are so excited right now!!
We went on exchanges this week with the Zone Leaders in the Evergreen zone. I got to be with Elder Fluckiger again!! We started our missions around the same time and went on a lot of exchanges together. We worked in Almaden and Elder Brockbank and Elder Smith worked in Yerba Buena. Exchanges ALWAYS bring miracles! Together we taught 12 lessons! It was a great day.
We had MLC on Friday. The topic of discussion was Enduring to the End. We talked about how we can better teach this principle to investigators and returning members and we also talked about life after the mission and how we endure then. It was super weird to think about! We had a guest speaker that also talked about our future in the church and even dating... That kind of threw us off a bit but I guess it'll be important some time down the road. All in all it was a good council, we learned a lot.
We pushed Nestor's date back because he has one more thing he needs to get through! But we are still super excited for him. He has come such a long way. We love him so much. I love being able to meet and learn from these wonderful people.
We begin transfer planning and Zone Training Meetings this week so we're excited for that!! A lot of good things are going to happen in the coming weeks!
I hope everybody had a wonderful Mother's Day! I am so grateful for my dear mother. She is a phenomenal woman! To repeat the words of Abraham Lincoln, "All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother". She has taught me countless life lessons in which I will forever be grateful for. Above all else, she has taught me to walk uprightly before God and to trust in Him. She is a woman of great faith.
"They had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them... And they rehearsed the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it". (Alma 56:47-48)
I love you Mom! I am eternally grateful for you and to be your son.
Have a great week!!
Elder Felt
