Hallelujah!
Hey everybody! I hope you had a wonderful week.
FIRST OFF! Everybody visit the website: FollowHim.mormon.org and watch the new easter video! It's INCREDIBLE. Watch it and then share it using the #hallelujah.
This week was crazyyyy. I don't even remember a lot of it. I blinked and then the week was over. We had Zone Conferences Monday-Friday so that took up a lot of the week. Elder Brockbank and I learned so much from President and Sister Mella. We love them so much! We were able to see a lot of the mission while driving to the conferences, we have the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. From endless rolling green hills, to the ocean, to thick forests with tall trees, to endless rows of orchard and crop fields. I absolutely love it here in the bay area. I never want to leave!
We were still able to have some great lessons this week and we had four solid investigators at church! Some of them are a part member family. Nestor and Paulina. Pray for Nestor! He's a non-member. His wife, Paulina, has been inactive for a while but really wants to be fully activated and wants Nestor to be baptized so that they can be sealed in the temple. They have a daughter, but she isn't of age to be baptized yet. But Nestor's sister lives with them, and she's 14! So that's two baptisms from that family. We're super excited to teach them again this week, hopefully we can set some dates!
We are still working hard on getting our other investigators to church, some of them want to be baptized but just can't make it to church due to rigorous work hours. It's definitely one of the hardest things about missionary work, but it's well worth it.
Our theme for Zone Conference was 'Journeying to Higher Ground'. God's eternal goal for us is our progress. For missionaries, the mission teaches us so many vital principles that will allow us to continue to journey to higher ground now and after our missions. I am beyond blessed to be a part of this great work and learn these important life lessons.
"For the eternal purposes of the Lord shall roll on, until all his promises shall be fulfilled". Mormon 8:22.
I love you all! Have a splendid week.
