The House Of The Lord
This week was crazy!! So many great things happened.
First off, the temple!! I was blessed to be able to attend the temple on Saturday to see a convert receive her endowment! My goodness if I could even begin to describe the joy that I felt from seeing that... So in my second transfer in the mission, we had a baptismal service in which three souls entered into the waters of baptism. One of them was Maggie! Much of the work put into these people was done before I arrived, I was just blessed enough to be apart of it. Maggie's son is Brian and his Father is Florentino. They are by far my favorite family!!! I've seen them progress exponentially in the gospel. Brian is the one that got ordained last week, so all kinds of wonderful things are happening with this family. Anyways, when I went on exchanges down to Hollister a couple weeks ago, Maggie told me that she was going to the temple! I was so excited!! The Sisters at the time mainly taught her but all the missionaries in the branch were super close with her. She called me earlier this week and asked if I could be there at the temple, and I got permission to go! It was beyond beautiful!
We went on exchanges earlier on in the week and my favorite Tongan, Elder Muna, came up here with me for a day. We had a blast!! I'll attach some pics.
Yesterday during fast and testimony meeting, Justin got up and bore his testimony! It was incredible!! It brought tears to Elder Cusworth and I. We love him so much. He even brought a friend to church! His name is Ricardo. He loved it and wants to come back, so we're super stoked for that! We love seeing the fruits of re-activation. I would like to give a shout out to my brothers Elder Black and Elder Matthias for knocking on Justin's door so long ago. So much has come because of it!
We had the opportunity to visit Larry and a few part member families this week, it was great! A lot of these people are progressing really well.
Transfer planning is this week! Elder Cusworth may or may not leave so we'll see what happens. I would love for him to stay but the chances of a companionship staying together for 6 months are slim! We've had a lot of success together and have had so many amazing experiences together that I'll never forget. I'm glad we're both going to school together, we'll be friends for a long time. I'm so grateful for the lasting relationships that will come because of the mission.
We had MLC this week and it was BOMB! We continue to have a huge focus on The Doctrine of Christ. This time the topic was repentance. We are to always teach repentance and baptize converts! Only through continual and sincere repentance can we prepare to be in the presence of the Almighty and become as He is.
I love this work so much! I love all of you!!
