Sacrifice Brings Forth The Blessings Of Heaven!

This was by far the most insane week of my mission!!

Transfers were on Tuesday! I said bye to my companion Elder Cusworth and got a new companion. Elder Brockbank is AMAZING. We've already had so much fun together. Transfers were hectic. We don't have transfer meetings anymore so everybody just meets at the mission office, they find their new companion, and then they're off! It's awesome. We loaded up the transfer van with all the outgoing missionaries and headed off to the temple. I love the temple so much, especially the Oakland temple. It's beyond beautiful!

We dropped off the outgoing missionaries at the airport the next morning and then welcomed the new missionaries a couple hours later. They are SOLID. Oh my goodness they're so awesome. They are all so prepared and excited to be here. Like always, we took them contacting in downtown San Jose and they loved it! We saw so many miracles. One hispanic lady in particular stopped us on the street and asked us which ward we cover. Apparently her and her family have been less-active for years. It turns out that she's in the ward that we now cover, Yerba Buena!! She wants us over for dinner this Wednesday. We're going to re-activate her family and baptize their friends.

We have a baptism this Thursday!! His name is Gerardo. His parents were less-active for a while and because of that, he never got baptized. Elder Davis (MTC comp) and Elder Brockbank re-activated them and now the father is baptizing Gerardo! We're so excited. It's going to be a wonderful service.

Funny experience! While on our way to an appointment, we contacted a hispanic lady and before we could even speak, she just start talking to us non-stop and then asked us if she could pray with us and bless us. So she put one hand on my shoulder and her other hand on Elder Brockbank's shoulder and began to pray. In this prayer she mentioned how admirable and beautiful the work is that we are doing, but then blessed us that we wouldn't force our religion upon others hahaha it was super funny. After the prayer she said, "You have been blessed. God bless you, have a good day". It was quite the experience to be blessed in the middle of the street by a catholic woman with cars driving by.

Elder Brockbank and I have been working like mad men. Covering a Spanish ward and an English Ward while trying to get things done on the office has been pretty hectic, but it's the Lord's work. It will be done! And we're going to have the time of our lives while doing it.

My first dinner back in the Spanish program almost made me cry I was so happy!!! I missed the people and the food so much!! I'm excited to be here.

We still have a good amount of work going in Almaden also. The youth are still tearing it up. We will be teaching Karina and Ricardo this week!

Well, that's about all I have time for! I love this work so much. It's an honor to be apart of.

I love my Savior and brother, Jesus Christ. He leads us in this great cause and guides us in establishing Zion.

I love you all! Have a great week!
