Weekly Update

Dear friends and family!!

I hope all is going well. We had a pretty awesome week!

We started the week off by going to some Zone Training Meetings around the mission. They were all awesome! The Zone Leaders did a superb job of spreading the fire throughout the mission. We're so pumped.

We had the opportunity to visit the Taylor and the Young family this week! It was so wonderful. I LOVE TEACHING SO MUCH. Taylor asked some really inspiring and soul searching questions. We're excited for her. She came to church!! Naomi Young came to church as well and she really enjoyed it! I'm not sure if we will have time to visit both of them this week, but we will try our best.

We commenced transfer planning on Friday with President Mella. It's really cool to watch The Lord inspire him.

Everything is going really well! I love it here. I love the ward, I love the people, and I love my companion! We have so much fun together. We find out every single day that we're literally the same person. It's great.

I love being in the service of the Lord. I am realizing more and more every day that this is a lifelong commitment, not just two years.

Elder Holland shared the following words from his General Conference talk in October of 2012. He gave his own portrayal of what the Savior was saying to His apostles after he found them fishing again after His resurrection. "What I need... are disciples—and I need them forever. I need someone to feed my sheep and save my lambs. I need someone to preach my gospel and defend my faith. I need someone who loves me, truly, truly loves me, and loves what our Father in Heaven has commissioned me to do. Ours is not a feeble message. It is not a fleeting task. It is not hapless; it is not hopeless; it is not to be consigned to the ash heap of history. It is the work of Almighty God, and it is to change the world".

I love what I am commissioned to do. I know that it is the work of Almighty God, and it IS changing the world. As members of God's church, we are to commit and covenant with the Savior every Sunday during sacrament to build the Kingdom. "For we know these things", and there are others who are searching for the truth. They need it.

"A pan who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God".

I love you all so much. Keep on keepin on!
