Crazy Week!!
This week was transfers! And as usual, it was nuts! But super fun!
Elder Cusworth and I will be staying together, thank goodness. There's no way I am ready to take all of this over quite yet haha. We're like brothers so it's perfect.
Tuesday we went to the temple with all of the outgoing missionaries. It was beautiful. I love the temple so much and I never want to leave when I am inside!!
We had dinner with them that night. After dinner, one of the missionaries' families came to pick him up. He lives in Southern Cali so his family just drove up to get him. I never want to see a missionary reunite with his/her family after two years ever again!!!! They all hugged and rejoiced and kissed right in front of Elder Cusworth and I and it was horrible. Well, it was a beautiful sight to see, and we were all so happy, but it made us super trunky and home sick for like 20 minutes. Elder Barbosa, one of my companions, left as well so that was super tough. I will miss him so much! But all is well! We dropped them off at the airport the next day and a few hours later the new missionaries arrived! They're a stellar group! We're so excited for them!! I love being around new missionaries. My desire to do the work just increases exponentially.
The rest of the week was training meetings and such.
Sunday was a miracle!!! I gave a talk in sacrament about inviting and sharing (the perfect topic) so we did our best to invite all of our less-actives and investigators. When the meeting started, nobody we had invited showed up... But after 10 minutes, three non-members were there! And they were all miracles! One of them is Bill. A member met him the day before while hiking and randomly invited him to church and he came! He stayed all three hours! It was incredible! He's super prepared and super ready. We're looking forward to meeting with him and the other two that came to church this week. I will talk about them later, I'm running low on time.
I love this work and I love this gospel. We have a vast knowledge of so many perfect and eternal truths. Joseph Smith gave to the world the true understanding of the origin of man, that man comes to earth with a divine and eternal purpose. - Elder David B. Haight.
I truly believe that.
