Transfers!!
It has been an insane week!!! So I am pretty upset right now because my companion, Elder Matthias, is getting transferred. We have only been together for 2 transfers!!! It's crazy because if anyone was going to get transferred, it was going to be me. I can honestly say that Elder Matthias and I are best friends. We are extremely close and have had a blast together. President threw a curveball, so I will be staying here in the City of Enoch, HOLLISTER, as District Leader still. This transfer will put me in Hollister for 6 months, which I'm totally okay with. I love Hollister so much.
So on Tuesday, our branch presidency went on exchanges with the stake presidency. Elder Matthias and I had to split up and go with each member of the presidency. It was incredible! We went and visited some recent converts and less-actives. I had to translate for the stake presidency member because he doesn't know any Spanish, it was really tough! But the gift of tongues is true. I have a firm testimony of the help of the Lord when the occasion arises.
Wednesday we had Zone Training Meeting! It was powerful and inspiring. We have the best zone ever. Although, some of my favorite people in our district and zone are leaving! A lot of people come and go in the mission, and it's hard sometimes because you get so close with all the missionaries. I've never been one to be accustomed to change. My parents especially know how much I hate change haha so I am learning a lot out here! I am grateful for it.
I am so stoked for this new transfer! We're going to look at it as if it's the 4th quarter and we're going to go HAM!! I am so excited!!! I love this work so much.
I was reading in Mosiah this week for personal study and I learned so much from King Benjamin. I cherish personal study every morning. It's probably one of my favorite things in the mission. Ch. 4 verse 11 stuck out to me. "And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have tasted of his love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God...". Brothers and sisters, for those who have come to know of the knowledge of God, and have tasted of his goodness and love, always remember! Remember his greatness and mercy for us, His children. Continue to endure to the end with faith and joy. Enduring and remembering should be joyful, for this gospel is a gospel of happiness. Eternal happiness. I am privileged to be a servant of the Lord in these latter days. Helping people remember, helping them return to live with our Heavenly Father where they will rest from all their labors.
I love you all! Have a stellar week.
