Anddddd That's 6 Months!

I can't believe how much time flies out here. It saddens me to know how fast time is flying, it just makes me love and appreciate the mission more and more!

 

 

It's been a great week! We witnessed a miracle. One of our investigators, Gus, had a baptismal date a while ago. And he was sooo close!! Elder Matthias and I felt prompted that we should wait. We later found out that he had some past criminal and court issues that needed to be settled. After a few weeks, he was sentenced to 8 months of jail. During this time, he would've missed the birth of his son. He had another court date this past Saturday. The night before, he called Elder Barbosa and I asked for us to come over and give him a blessing. We did so and then prayed all night and morning asking that everything would go well. He called us right after court and gave us incredible news!! Everything was cleared. There wasn't enough evidence for his past "crimes' '. He no longer has to go to jail and there are no more warrants out for him. He now has baptismal date for April 11th! God's power is real. He answers prayers. His power on earth, the priesthood, is real. I have been with Gus since day one of him meeting with the missionaries. I can't even begin to explain the amount of change I have seen in him. He has truly changed for the better. He is always smiling and I can see the light of Christ in His eyes so vividly. I love him so much! He is my brother.

 

 

Everything else is going really well. I am learning so much from Elder Barbosa, he's an animal! We're finding and picking up new investigators left and right!  We have found 14 new investigators in the past 12 days! Miracles upon miracles. Two of our new investigators are sisters. Joanna and Esmeralda. They are 14 and 17. They're so awesome! They came to branch volleyball and church already! We hope to teach them more this week and invite them to be baptized. 

 

 

I am SO PUMPED for General Conference! How blessed we are to listen and ponder about the words of modern day prophets and apostles. I can't wait to absorb all of their powerful words and spirits. 

 

 

Everything else is going super well. I am still loving the mission more and more every day.
