I Love This Place
¡Hola Everybody!!
This has been a great week. It rains almost everyday here, and when it does, it'll rain for hours. It puts me in such a good mood. I love rain. I love being at the MTC in Mexico so much. Everywhere I walk I hear people singing hymns or sometimes I hear somebody whistling the tune to "Called to Serve". I love the atmosphere here. The language is still my biggest trial right now but I have faith that it will come. We give lessons pretty much every day and sometimes twice a day. It's really awkward when we ask the investigator a question in Spanish and then when they answer, my companion and I just sit there and smile while nodding our heads because we have no idea what they said. I look forward to the day when I will be able to fully understand what they are saying.
Sundays are the best days here. It's a day to relax from all the work and studying and just ponder the words of life. It's such a relief. We are filled with the spirit all day and everybody is in a good mood. Well, everyone is always in a good mood here but Sundays enhance everybody's mood. We have the privilege of having a devotional every Sunday and Tuesday night. Sometimes someone from the 70 will come which is super cool.
GUESS WHAT!! Elder Neil L. Anderson from the quorum of the 12 apostles is coming here to the CCM on Saturday!! We all get to hear him speak to us and then he wants to meet us all personally!! I can't wait. It'll be such a wonderful experience. I can't wait to hear the words from a prophet of The Lord.
I can't believe I have been here for almost 3 weeks. I feel like I've been here for an eternity... Time goes so slow here yet it goes by so fast. We are awake for 17 hours of the day, and during that 17 hours we are constantly studying, teaching, and working hard. I've never worked so hard in my life. I have gained incredible amounts of knowledge from being here already.
I love the Latino people. They are all so loving and kind. I can't understand what they are saying most of the time but that's the fun part. They just smile and give me a big hug.
While being here, I have come to know how merciful The Lord truly is. Without Him by my side every step of the way, I will accomplish nothing. He gives me enormous amounts of strength and endurance every day. Sometimes I'll say phrases in Spanish and not even know what I said, but the spirit is so strong. Through the Holy Ghost we can come to know all things. I would honestly be worthless here if it weren't for the Holy Ghost.
I love being here and I love this work. I love being on The Lord's errand. When you take a step back and ponder, you realize how many blessings have been and are currently being poured out to you.
The Lord is my light, my savior, and redeemer. And I am His servant.
I miss and love you all beyond words.

P.S.
For some reason, fireworks go off every day here up in the mountains and mostly through the night. I guess they love fireworks a lot down here. When they light them off. It's SO loud. When it was my first day here in the MTC, a bunch of them went off all at once and it scared the living daylights out of me. I was so confused because I was the only one freaking out, everyone was already use to it. Soooo after my little freak out moment, everyone knew I was the new guy.
